Session Description

Healthcare cost trend is at its highest level in 15 years, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Advances in technology have brought unimaginable success in treating difficult conditions, but the result is that employers and brokers find themselves in a new era in which traditional cost management strategies no longer get the job done. Creativity, ingenuity, and an understanding of what is now possible through AI are required to effectively manage health plan cost.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will better understand:

  • How the modern employer should approach benefits design and strategy with their broker, especially when claims and utilization data is limited

  • How AI can help an employer and broker in designing the optimal program and managing it on an ongoing basis

  • How a modern brokerage should use AI to generate its own operational efficiencies to be able to better support its customers
